Download Microsoft SkyDrive for Android, now available in Google Play store


Earlier Microsoft promised to release their first official SkyDrive app for Android. The wait is over now; Android SkyDrive app is finally available in the Google Play Store. According to Microsoft, Android 2.3 and above can use SkyDrive app but it works best with Android 4.0.

It has the same functions like it has for Windows and iOS. Those who have used SkyDrive for Windows and iOS know very well that it is a cloud storage service which gives easy access to all the documents stored in it. It also gives the list of recently opened documents and the documents that others have shared with you.

So, with SkyDrive Android app you can now easily access and share your files on the go. And you can also upload files, photos or videos from your phone to SkyDrive.

According to Microsoft, features of this app are:

  • Access all of your SkyDrive content including files shared with you.
  • View recently used documents.
  • Choose multiple photos or videos to upload from your phone.
  • Share your files and photos – send a link in email or in another app.
  • Open your SkyDrive files in other Android apps.
  • Manage your files – delete, or create new folders.
